Mobile Installation Patch: tutti i programmi di Appstore in un click!
Sicuramente molti di voi si saranno accorti che è possibile reperire in rete moltissimi programmi presenti in Appstore sotto il formato .ipa .
Questi file vengono automaticamente aggiunti ad iTunes dopo un doppio-click ma, una volta eseguito il sync, queste non compaion sul nostro iPhone / iPod Touch. Questo perchè il dispositivo targato Apple controlla la certificazione di ogni applicazione prima di visualizzarla nella springboard e, quindi, renderlo avviabile.
Per bypassare questa sicurezza bisogna sostituire un file all’interno dell’ iPhone / iPod con una sua copia modificata ad hoc che non controlla queste firme digitali.
Per eseguire questa operazione bisognerebbe entrare nel proprio iPhone tramite collegamento ssh e sostituire il file manualmente ma, grazie ai ragazzi di iphone.org.hk questo non è più necessario! Vediamo cosa dobbiamo fare:
1- Apriamo Cydia e facciamo tap su MANAGE
2- Tap su SOURCES poi EDIT e anora su ADD
3- Inseriamo questo indirizzo http://iphone.org.hk/apt/ ( Non dimenticatevi lo slash finale altrimenti non funzionerà! )
4- Tap su add e poi dalla sezione TWEAKS installiamo il pacchetto “MobileInstallation Patch” .
5- Terminata l’installazione riavviamo il nostro iPhone ed ecco che è pronto per essere sincronizzato con tutte le applicazioni scaricate dal web!
ATTENZIONE: Dopo aver riavviato l’iphone bisogna installare almeno un’applicazione da Appstore (va bene anche free) se non ne avete già installata una.
Matrix code negli iphone 3G?
Sembra che nella cover posteriore dell’iphone 3G di Fsjk852 sia presente un matrix code che ha scoperto usando la modalità notturna della sua videocamera..per ora non si sa cosa possa rappresentare. Vediamo l’immagine originale:
Giocherellando un pò con questa immagine sono riuscito a ricavare il matrix code in 2d, però il mio N95 8Gb non rileva nessuna informazione da esso sebbene lo inquadri perfettamente e lo riconosca come codice matrix. Ecco qui il risultato da me ottenuto:
A questo punto le opzioni sono due: o ho sbagliato il codice matrix (possibile è l’una di notte e sono appena tornato dal bar Tripoli di Arsiero con 20 euro in meno nel portafoglio) oppure Apple utilizza un codice matrix tutto suo con codifiche diverse da quelle standard…staremo a vedere cosa si scoprirà!

Information needed:
* iPhone / iPod Firmware (example: 1.1.4 or 2.0.x)
*Linux distro and versione (example Ubuntu 8.04)
*The problem (example: can’t connect by ssh or error while syncing)

Bad News
I’ve been working on syncing ipod touch 2.0 with ubuntu 8.04 …. I can connect to the device by ssh and read/write files on it, but when i try to sync with amarok o gtkpod i corrupt my library and i can see only songs from these program…ipod says that non songs are in the library.
Normally this problem is caused only due to an hash problem of the library ( apple encoded the library with a sha1 code for protect it by no-itunes software).
Now seems that the only way it’s to have a virtual machine with usb2.0 enabled or a dual boot… i will continue my test and try to fix this problem but i think we only need an upgrade of libgpod that is the library to use ipod under linux hoping they include the iphone and the ipod touch.

Ipod Touch + Sync + Ubuntu 8.04
I saw that my video on youtube showing that is possible to sync the ipod touch with ubuntu linux had a nice success and lot of people are looking for a guide to do it on their PC. Unluckely when i swapped my site to WordPress i’ve lost all my old articles.
